Selected in February 2013:
Finland: Krista Siegfrids – Marry me
Finland picked its participant for the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday the 9th of February. 8 songs had made it to the final where the song Marry Me by Krista Siegfrids ended up winning due to the televoting result as the jury were split between three acts.

Norway: Margaret Berger – Feed You My Love
Margaret Berger won a convinsing victory in the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix on Saturday the 9th of February when she ended up with nearly double as many points as the runner up. With the song Feed You My Love she will represent Norway in neighbour country Sweden in May this year.

Iceland: Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson – Ég á Líf
On the 2nd of February the Icelandic had come to the end of their selection shows which had featured several former Eurovision participants. In the final Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson ended up winning though. His song will now be made in an English version for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Denmark: Emmelie de Forest – Only Teardrops
On the 26th of January Denmark held its national final. 10 very strong songs competed to win Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, including a former Eurovision participant. The jury was split between two songs leaving it to the TV viewers to decide that Emmelie de Forest should represent their country at the Eurovision Song Contest this year.

Albania: Adrian Lulgjuraj & Bledar Sejko – Identiet
Over three nights just before Christmas Albania selected their representative for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest. Despite strong competition from previous Albanian participants Adrian Lulgjuraj & Bledar Sejko won the national final with the song Identiet.

Ukraine: Zlata Ognevich – Gravity
With 20 songs competing Ukraine pulled off quite a large show in their national final, which was held on the 23rd of December. Zlata Ognevich won singing the song Gravity and will be represing her country in Malmö in May.

Lithuania: Andrius Pojavis – Something
After a long selection process seven songs were left to battle it out in the final. Should have been 8, but one had to withdraw at the last moment due to sickness. In the final on the 20th of December Andrius Pojavis ended up winning with the song Something.

Belgium: Roberto Bellarosa – Love Kills
Roberto Bellarosa had been internally selected to represent Belgium at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest. In a national final held on the 16th of December three songs submitted by a record company were in play to be the actual song for the competition in Malmö, Sweden. A 50/50 jury and televoting result picked the song Love Kills as the winner.

Switzerland: Heilsarmee – You And Me
After various procedures the number of possible entries for Switzerland had been narrowed down to 9 songs, which were participating in the national final held on the 15th of December. In a combination of jury and televoting Heilsarmeen won the final with the song You And Me.

Belarus: Alena Lanskaya – Rhythm Of Love
In the first national final for the 2013 season held Alena Lanskaya won with the song Rhythm Of Love. She also won the national final for the 2012 contest, but was later disqualfied. If all things goes right this time she will be representing Belarus at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest.
