Sophie returns with So Damn Perfect

Sophie DeBattista returns with a new single and video release. The song is called So Damn Perfect and it shows Sophie’s maturity as an artist and songwriter. The song has a pop/rock sound and is already receiving much interest from radio stations and is becoming popular on iTunes and other digital charts.

Sophie DeBattista first came to the spotlight when she represented Malta at the 2006 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Extra Cute. Sophie has since blossomed in to a talented singer and songwriter and is currently based in England. She also participated in the Malta Eurosong national selections in 2011 with Love To Love You and in 2014 with Let The Sunshine In.

Sophie has been studying a BA songwriting course in England at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance. She has also been performing some special concert appearances in England such as the Open Mic Grand Final at the NEC in Birmingham, Sport Relief at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Proud Camden event, busking at the Brits Awards 2014. She also performed at the Malta Music Awards.

Sophie now releases So Damn Perfect. The song begins with an acoustic feel and builds in to a strong pop/rock sound. The video shows Sophie singing and playing her guitar in a car scrapyard. The video is directed by Danielle Wilson and produced by Top Dog Pictures in Manchester, England. The song is composed by Sophie herself and was recorded and produced at The Animal Farm in Bermondsey, England.
