Loreen
participated in Melodifestivalen for the first time in 2011 with the song My Heart is Refusing Me. On that occasion her journey in Melodifestivalen ended in the second chance round when she lost the head to head battle with Sara Varga and her song Spring för livet.
Although the song became a huge hit in Sweden climbing the Swedish charts for many weeks.

In 2012 Loreen participated in Melodifestivalen again with the song Euphoria.
