Former double Dutch participants Edsilia Rombley will be given out the point from the Netherlands at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest final on the 23rd of May. Thereby the Netherlands follow countries like Greece and San Marino who have also chosen a former representative.
Edsilia Rombley has represented the Netherlands twice at the Eurovision Song Contest. First time in 1998 where she finished 4th with the song Hemel En Aarde and then again in 2007 where her entry On Top Of The World unfortunately failed to make it to the final.
She has just been announced as the one who will be reading out the Dutch points in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest final on the 23rd of May. The Netherlands is the third country so far to use a former participant for this task here in 2015 after San Marino (Valentina Monetta) and Greece (Helena Paparizou).
This year the Netherlands will be represented by Trijntje Oosterhuis who will try to live up to the high Dutch expectations after their 2014 second place. Her entry Walk Along is written by Anouk who took part for her country in 2013.
