Spanish national final to be held on the 22nd of February

TVE has announced today the date of the national final where the Spanish representative for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest will be chosen. It will take place on the evening of the 22nd of February and the show will be broadcast live from Barcelona.

The artist and song that will represent Spain in Copenhagen will be determined by means of a 50/50 combination of televoting and a jury composed by music professionals. The show where the five hopefuls will be performing their candidate entries will be broadcast live from TVE studios in Sant Cugat (Barcelona). It will start at 22:00 CET and it can be watched on TVE’s main channel, La 1, or on the broadcaster’s website.

As we reported, the candidates are Brequette, Jorge González, La Dama, Raúl and Ruth Lorenzo. Their songs are available for listening on the broadcaster’s website where you can also find a survey to vote for your favourite. According to the results of this survey Brequette may be the favourite of the audience followed closely by Ruth Lorenzo. In the third position we find La Dama while Raúl and Jorge González are the worst rated.
