Eurovision 2014: Ticket sale starts Friday

Today came the announcement many had been waititing for: Information about the release of the ticket sale. From Friday the 29th of November tickets for a total of nine shows will be put up for sale. The prices will vary between 100 dkk and 1800 dkk.

It is months ago that the Danish broadcaster, DR, announced that their goal was to start the ticket sale in good time for the Christmas sale, and today we can conclude that they managed. Tickets for nine Eurovision Song Contest shows in Copenhagen May next year will be available to purchase from Friday the 29th of November.

The tickets that will be released on Friday are aproximately one third of the tickets. When the final stage design and placing of cameras have been decided upon, more tickets will become free in all categories. The price varies between 100 dkk and 1800 dkk.

The nine shows are the three live shows, the jury finals and one family dress rehearsal for each show:

  • Monday 5. maj kl. 21-23: Jury semifinal 1
  • Tuesday 6. maj kl. 15-17: Family semifinal 1
  • Tuesday 6. maj kl. 21-23: Semifinal 1
  • Wednesday 7. maj kl. 21-23: Jury semifinal 2
  • Thursday 8. maj kl. 15-17: Family semifinal 2
  • Thursday 8. maj kl. 21-23: Semi final 2
  • Saturday 9. maj kl. 21-00.30: Jury final
  • Saturday 10. maj kl. 13-16.30: Family final
  • Saturday 10. maj kl. 21-00.30: Final

Tickets will be sold via billetlugen.dk and it is advised to be early and ready once it opens.

Executive Producer Pernille Gaardbo says: "We are looking forward to offer thousounds of Danes and Europeans welcome when Denmark will be hosting the Eurovision Song Contest. We wish to bring people together despite country borders and bring everyone an experience we can talk about many years ahead. With tickets for a total of nine shows there will be plenty of possibility to come and be a part of the party and experience all the songs that are fighting intense on behalf of their country".
