One month before the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, BNT, the Bulgarian Broadcaster revealed that Poli Genova who represented the country at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011, will be hosting the junior edition on the 21st of November at Armeec Arena in Sofia.
BNT held live castings a few months ago, where the produces of this year’s contest made auditions for the host of the event. Poli’s level of English, and her total appearance in front of the camera, convinced the broadcaster that she is the perfect hostess for the target teenage audience.
Poli expressed her happiness by BNT’s decision:
I am really happy that Bulgaria is hosting the most prestigious song contest for young artists in Europe and that BNT decided that I am the right person to host it. I can’t wait to discover this event and I am sure it will be unforgettable! Let’s support the young artists together because they are our future.
Poli’s music career started when she was four years old, and in 1995 she joined the children’s vocal group Bon-Bon. She has since graduated from the Lubomir Pipkov National School of Music playing the clarinet and from the NATFA with a degree in Film Production – and then she represented her country at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest.
