Francesco Gabbani has quickly moved on after Eurovision by releasing his next single. The video for “Tra Le Granite E Le Granate” has already had 6.5 million views on YouTube after just a few days since it’s release.
Francesco Gabbani has released his latest single from his new album. Tra Le Granite E Le Granate is a song about how people spend their holidays, on crowded beaches or trapped in queues, trying to run away from a dull life, to which they will soon return to.
The video shows Gabbani working as a barman on a beach, before joining his band in the chorus. The camera pans out to show that he isn’t on a beach after all, but in a studio.
Francesco was hot favourite to win the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in the run up to the competition, but was eventually overtaken by Portugal’s Salvador Sobral. Gabbani finished in 6th position behind the likes of Kristian Kostov from Bulgarian and Blanche from Belgium.
Gabbani’s new album Magellano is topping the Italian charts. The European version of this album is also doing well and has already charted in 13 other countries.
