Sergej Ćetković to represent Montenegro at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest

Sergej Ćetković was today chosen to represent Montenegro at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen. The local broadcaster, RTCG, chose Sergej internally. The song is currently being prepared and is expected to be a love song that he will take to the stage with.

Sergej Ćetković was born in 1976 in Titograd in the former Yugoslavia.He first came to the spotlight 1998 at the Sunčane Skale festival with his song Bila si ruža. Two years later he released his first album called Kristina. This was big success and was later released in all the countries of ex-Yugoslavia.

His next album came two years later called Budi mi voda. Sergej also took part at the Budva festival in Montenegro with Postojim i ja and this won the best arrangement award.

A third album followed called Kad ti zatreba. The biggest hit from the album was Pogledi u tami. He then went on a successful sell out tour in both Montenegro and throughout Serbia. The hits continued to flow and one of the biggest hits was Pogledi u tami. In 2012 he also had a hit with Zbog nas.

Sergej has advised the song he will sing will be a love song for Copenhagen. We will await to see the results of this in the coming months. In the meantime you can read more about Sergej or listen to his music at his official website.
