The Euphoria continues as Swedish broadcaster and host of next year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö have just made an announcement concerning one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the year for many Eurovision fans – tickets for the Swedish selection Melodifestivalen will go on sale from the 25th of October.
Expect a stampede from fans when tickets become available online on Thursday, the 25th of October at 09:00 for Melodifestivalen 2013. Tickets for both semi finals and the grand final will be up for grabs, with the first heat kicking off the Swedish selection from Karlskrona on the 1st of Feburary. Four heats as well as the traditional reprieve round Andra Chansen are to be held prior to the grand final from the Friends Arena, Stockholm, on the 9th of March. With a change of venue for the final, getting hold of tickets should hopefully be somewhat easier, with an capacity of 60,000 spectators upwards, compared to the maximum capacity of approximately 14.000 at the previous venue for the final, Globen.
