After successfully representing Ireland twice in a row, the twins are back with something completely unique. Their new single Luminous seems to have surprised everyone, as the Irish duo literally spreads intense amount of light in its music video, which was released yesterday in Ireland.
Jedward a.k.a John and Edward Grimes won the Irish national final for Eurovision in 2011 and 2012, and finished the contest on 8th and 19th positions respectively. In June, the twins released a brand new album and in a short time, they also revealed what the next singles were going to be. Luminous is the third single from the album Young Love and its music video has just been released.
After surprising everyone with a more grown-up album than their previous efforts, Jedward showed that they have plenty more suprises in store. In the futuristic music video of Luminous, the twins take a trip to outer space. They light up the dark atmosphere of the space with their vivid colours and luminous selves.
The music video was filmed at Ardmore Studios in Ireland and it was premiered on the Irish TV show, Elev8. Today, the video officially came out and it’s going to be released on 15th of October in the UK, and on 16th of October in the rest of the world. The song is written by Swedish songwriters Sebastian Lundberg, Fredrik Häggstam, Johan Gustafson and Marlene Strand, and produced by Trinity Music.
Soon after the video release, "Jedward – Luminous" became a trending topic on Twitter, and Luminous began its assault on the iTunes charts.
