Do you want to be a part of the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen? If you can dance or sing, it might be you Danish broadcaster, DR, is looking for. You can become a part of a virtual choir for the first semi-final, or be on stage dancing live during the second semi-final.
With the slogan #JoinUs DR invites everyone to be a part of the Eurovision Song Contest, and they mean it liturally. They are now looking for people to be a part of the entertainment for the two semi-finals. Can you dance or sing? This is how you do:
#MyEurovisionSong:
Get infront of a computer with a webcame. Go to www.joinus.dk and follow the instructions. You will be recording yourself singing choir to the 2013 Danish Eurovision winner Only Teardrops. If you are being selected you will become a part of a big virtual choir to be used during the first semi-final on the 6th of May.
#MyEurovisionDance:
Record yourself dance for aproximately 15 seconds and send it in, via www.joinus.dk and your smartphone or tablet. If you are being selected you will be invited to be on stage dancing live during the second semi-final on the 8th of May. Flighttickets are paid by DR.
DR has previously asked for ideas for the entertainment for the final itself. The best ideas submitted as a part of #MyEurovisionIdea will be put together for one great show for the final on the 10th of May.
The 2014 Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark as Emmelie de Forest secured the country their third Eurovision victory last year with the song Only Teardrops. B & W hallerne has been chosen as arena and despite building technical problems turning the old shipyart into a suitable arena, DR is confident that they will be able to move in to the buildings in the beginning of March as planned.
