Today EuroVisionary had the chance to ask some questions to the hosts of Melodifestivalen 2013, Danny Saucedo and Gina Dirawi.
Danny Saucedo:
What is more nervous, participating as artist or as a host?
It’s more nervous to be a host, because there’s so many moments that you are not aware of and you have to be prepared stuff like technical problems and you need to be able to take things on volley. So I would say that being a host is more demanding.

What was your first thought when you heard who your co-host was?
Yes! – that was my first thought. I got the question to be the host and they didn’t tell me who the second person would be. They gave me the question if I wanted to be host and let me think over it during the whole summer. And then after the summer I said "You know what – I might due it, if I know who the second person is" and when they said it would be Gina I thought sure why not.
What question that I haven’t asked you would you like to ask yourself, and what would the answer be?
Wow, that’s a good question! It would be if I would like to be part of it again? And the answer is yes – I loved it. Melodifestivalen is awsome, I love the ambience, the people, the whole show and production team. Everything is so well produced here.

Taking part as an artist or a host?
As an artist. As a host – the question won’t come again. But as an artist definitely.
Gina Dirawi:
What was your first thought when you heard who your co-host was?
I was very happy because I was thinking about that if I would ever wanted to do the show again I wanted to do it with Danny, he is so good with dancing, singing, he is focused and he has a good drive and high ambitions and I think that if you have high ambitions you will conquer anything because you will set your mind to it and you will do it, so I was very happy.
You are young but have accomplished a lot of great things already, do you still have dreams that you want to fulfill?
Yeah, I have a lot of dreams. I guess that sometimes I think about other people and what they are doing and I feel I haven’t accomplished enough. I think I’m very stressed as a person I always have to do something new, and if I don’t do it it it feels like a failure. I always had a thought that I would going to die young so I think it’s like counting that I have to do this-and-this-and this. So yeah, I have a lot of dreams.
Do you have any personal favourite among the songs tonight? (Gina is not allowed to mention the name of the favourite as a host)
No I really don’t because everything that I like with the show, everything is so different because we hear the songs a lot and we grow a connection to every song. If you sit at home it’s very easy to say "I hate this, I love that". Everything grows on you.

Gina are you enjoying this as you should be, or are you too stressed? I would say that I’m trying to enjoy it but I’m a little bit nervous, so I will try to enjoy it more.
