The Swedish winner of Eurovision 2015, Måns Zelmerlöw, is back with a brand new album titled “Time”. It is a catalogue of well produced and modern pop-songs, where Zelmerlöw looks back at his life.
Yesterday, Måns Zelmerlöw launched his 8th studio album since 2007. The new album is a chronological journey that starts some years ago and ends in the present.
Zelmerlöw has long wanted to create an album, that has a red thread – a whole feeling. According to the artist himself, the opening song On My Way can be seen as a letter from him to young Måns. In the following, the story goes through a dark period before turning to the better again.
The previous singles, the duet with 2018 Melodifestivalen participant Dotter, Walk With Me, Better Now and Grow Up To Be You, are followed by the new single, One.
One is about how one’s friends may think that, as a couple, they struggle too much in everyday life. The message is that it can actually be good to clear the air sometimes and thus get rid of things, instead of holding on to them, because it can make the relationship grow stronger in the extension and create a greater mutual understanding for each other. The song says we can be the exception that confirms the rule.
Songs on Zelmerlöws’ new album were written and recorded in Battersea, London and Peter Gabriel’s legendary studio, Real World, in Bath. Zelmerlöw has been involved in writing almost every song and many of them were written together with Jon Eyden.
With the release of his new album, Måns also kicked off his Sweden tour with Malmö as the first stop yesterday. After Malmö he will play in Falun, Stockholm and Gothenburg during October.
