Former Eurovision winner Helena Paparizou would be interested in going for another attempt at the contest if the right song is given to her. She revealed that today where she also talked about her recent upcoming plans.
Helena Paparizou is undeniably the queen of pop music in Greece in recent years. Her career started as a member of the duo Antique as which she represented Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2001. They achieved a 3rd place with the song Die For You, and the contest grew in popularity in Greece after that. In 2005 as a solo artist she became the first and only winner for Greece with the song My Number One and her career literally jumped. In 2014 she tried to represent the country where she was born, Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest. She came 4th in the national selection, Melodifestivalen.
Despite the fact that most believed that Eurovision has ended for Helena, with today’s interview to MAD TV Helena eaves all options open for a possible representation of Greece in the future with the words: “For me Eurovision Song Contest has not closed yet. If I had a good song I would participate for Greece“.
Recent rumors about her as the jury of the talent show Rising Star she also talked about. She said she is very positive about it as it is something that is in her field and she would do it with great pleasure.
This summer Helena Paparizou is giving concerts together with two other Greek singers Myron Stratis and Isaias Matiaba, while in mid-August she will depart for Sweden. In the Scandinavian countries, Helena has arranged to make appearances until mid-December, in a musical performance with other famous Swedish artists.
