Yüksek Sadakat Will Have Their Own Philosophy in Dusseldorf

Earlier this evening, Yüksek Sadakat presented their song, Live It Up, which will be participating at the Eurovision Song contest in Düsseldorf. Now, it’s time to take a look other details from tonight’s selection…

The presentation show of Yüksek Sadakat’s took place in Tepebası Studios, which is owned by Turkish national broadcaster, TRT. The programme started with a press conference before the song was performed publicly for the first time.

In the first part of the show, all the media sources were invited to ask their questions to the band after the procedure of the selections had been introduced. The group Yüksek Sadakat was announced as TRT’s choice to the public on a New Year’s Eve programme. You can read more about the process here. The group submitted three songs in February and a special committee granted Live It Up to be performed on the stage at the Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf in May.

Tarkan was leading the fan wish list and, according to Mr. İbrahim Şahin from TRT, the offer was sent to Tarkan after this fan decision but he kindly rejected as he is quite old for the contest. Mr. Şahin also talked about the speculation about Tarkan, which claimed that he only would accept if 5 million Euros were paid to his bank account.

Yüksek Sadakat was also said he felt that the group were quite brave accepting TRT’s surprise offer. They continued by saying they will have their philosophy shown on the concept of the song Live It Up. The group claims their song has a quite strong vocal, especially on repeats, which leads to the song being described by the group as energetic.

The group also answered questions about last year’s winner, Lena, who they liked a lot from the last year; they added they also like her new song Taken By A Stranger

After the speculation in many countries such as Turkey, who are thought to have a strong diaspora voting, Yüksek Sadakat declared that they do not have any beliefs about the diaspora voting especially with the new system 50/50 jury and televoting. The combination of the show and the song on the stage will determine the winner in Düsseldorf this year.
The programme continued in the second part of the show with small recaps of previous acts which succeeded in achieving high ratings, such as Shake It Up Shekerim, Everyway That I Can, Deli and many more. But a scandalous miss of Hadise’s Düm Tek Tek in the recaps showed TRT and Hadise still do not have good relations after Moscow.

The group had presented their song Live It Up before they gave a mini concert for their fans and media. Before the presentation of the song Live It Up for the second time at the show, the lead singer, Kenan Vural, teased that they were about the present the winning song of the contest. The programme ended after the cocktail party where the group met with press members and fans.
