Today, Sir Cliff Richard enters his seventh decade. The twice Eurovision singer celebrates his 70th birthday today. Most 70 years olds have retired by now, but Sir Cliff has other plans.
It is 42 years since Sir Cliff finished second in the contest with the evergreen Congratulations, a song that is still sung around the world today.
His career started in the 1950’s with Move It, and he went on to have a number one hit in every decade up to and including the 1990’s. In these days of X-Factor, he can always be relied on to release a proper Christmas song.
