The final show of Eirodziesma 2012 will be held on Saturday, the 18th of February. Ten acts coming from two semifinals will once again compete to have the honour of representing Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku this year. A former participant; Bonaparti.lv’s Andris Ābelīte is among the competitors.
The Latvian selection process named Eirodziesma edition 2012, will continue with its final show this saturday, February, 18th. The show will start at 18.00 CET (19.00 local time) and be broadcasted by the national channel LTV1 via satellite and its web. The show will take place in the theatre of Jūras Vārti in Ventsplis with the presentation from Christine and Walter Virsnīte Fridenbergs.
Previously two semifinal shows was held by the broadcaster LTV and ten acts (five from each semifinal) qualified to the final. The qualifiers are:

A former Latvian participant; Bonaparti.lv’s Andris Ābelīte will once again try to represent this country at the Eurovision Song Contest in Azerbaijan.
It is informed on the official website of the broadcaster LTV that there will be a special show for the 10th anniversary of winning the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time. Therefore, winner name of Eurovision Song Contest 2002, Marie Naumova will take the stage. The other guest acts will be Swiss representative group Sinplus, last year’s Latvian representative Musiqq, famous Latvian celebrity, Olga Rajecka and the cello trio DaGamba.
After celebrating the 10th anniversary of winning Eurovision Song Contest in Latvia this year, the winner of Eirodziesma will feel an extra pressure on their shoulders as this country failed to qualify for last year’s final with the representation of Musiqq with the song Angel in Disguisse.
