Warm up to Christmas by listening to the beautiful carols performed by Eurovision artists. Each day until Christmas features a new act giving their version of a Christmas song. As 11th, we listen to 1988 winner Celine Dion.
Canadian Celine Dion won the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest representing Switzerland. She would later achieve status of international superstar, but back then, she was rather unknown to most.
Oh Holy Night is originally from 1847, and French, but over the years many artists have covered this song and in various languages. The song tells about the birth of Jesus. Celine Dion’s version features on her 2004 album These Are Special Times which sold to 5 times platinum.
