We know for a while that Lena Meyer-Landrut will once again represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011. But something is still missing – the song that she will perform in Düsseldorf. Just like this year the audience will decide about the German entry.
The NDR announced today that there will be three live shows of "Unser Song für Deutschland (Our song for Germany)", two semi finals on January 31st and February 7th which will be broadcasted by Pro 7 and the final which will take place on February 18th and shown by the ARD. All three shows are set on 20:15.
The broadcaster will invite composers to take part. In total 12 songs will be performed, six songs in each semi final. The songs will again be rated by Stefan Raab and other well-known German artists.
The public can vote via telephone and sms which three songs of each semi final will proceed to the final. On February 18th it is once again up to the audience to decide which song Lena will perform in Düsseldorf.
With this procedure Stefan Raab and the broadcasters ARD and Pro 7 continue the good and successful cooperation. The viewing figures this year have been the highest in Germany since 30 years.
