A controversy was caused after the Second chance heat of Melodifestivalen when it became clear that SVT had displayed the wrong telephone numbers to vote on during the reprise of the first three duels. SVT has tonight announced the voting results to clarify that the mistake did not have any impact on the final voting results.
The error occured when SVT was showing graphics of the telephone numbers to call for during the 12 seconds-fast reprise of the first three duels – the graphics showing the numbers for Love Generation and Jenny Silver in the first duel were mixed up. This mistake meant that the votes that was given to Love Generation in fact were going to Jenny Silver and vice versa. The same happened in the next duel between Loreen and Sara Varga and in the third duel between The Moniker and Linda Pritchard.
The number that was mixed up was the more expensive telephone numbers that donates most of the cost to the help organistaion Radiohjälpen. The graphics displaying the cheaper 3:60 SEK-number was right during the whole broadcast. The graphics was also displaying the right number to Radiohjälpen – apart from during the reprise of the first three duels.
The total number of votes for duel 1 were:
Jenny Silver: 35 780
Love Generation: 37 868
The corrected number of votes, after withdrawing the calls for the Radiohjälpen number during the fast reprise:
Jenny Silver: 32 942
Love Generation: 34 212
NOTE: Due to the fact that duel 2 and 3 involves songs that made it to the final, SVT has only choosed to reveal the results of the calls made for the more expensive number for Radiohjälpen.
The number of votes for Radihjälpens number for duel 2 were:
Loreen: 10 937
Sara Varga: 18 718
The corrected number of votes for Radiohjälpens number, after withdrawing the calls for the Radiohjälpen number during the fast reprise:
Loreen: 9 986
Sara Varga: 16 202
In addtion to this SVT also reveals that Sara Varga received 5 699 more votes on the 3:60-number than Loreen.

The Moniker: 17 380
Linda Pritchard: 11 118
The corrected number of votes for Radiohjälpens number, after
withdrawing the calls for the Radiohjälpen number during the fast reprise:
The Moniker: 15 630
Linda Pritchard: 9 168
In addtion to this SVT also reveals that The Moniker received 16 812 more votes on the 3:60-number than Linda Pritchard.
Furthermore SVT also offers the viewers who voted during the time when the wrong numbers were displayed to get a repayment.
