Spain’s selection process continues tonight when three singers will be selected to take part in the national final on 18 February. Ten acts have qualified over the past weeks to compete in the semi-final stage of Destino Eurovisión. We will be entertained, once more, with some ingenious versions of Eurovision hits.
After the previous heats, we now have become better acquainted with the artists aspiring to bring Spain to the top of the scoreboard in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. The show will be a mix of different kinds of artists and, as in earlier shows, the ten participants will perform hits from the Eurovision Song Contest.
While waiting for Friday night, it is time to take a look at the ten hopefuls. These ten acts will perform at the semi-final competing for the three places:
- Auryn (voted by the audience on the first heat)
- Da Igual (chosen by the jury on the first heat)
- David Sancho (voted by the audience on the first heat)
- Don Johnsons (chosen by the jury on the second heat)
- Esmeralda Grao (voted by the audience on the second heat)
- Gio (chosen by the jury on the first heat)
- Lucía Pérez (voted by the audience on the first heat)
- Melissa (voted by the audience on the second heat)
- Mónica Guech (chosen by the jury on the second heat)
- Sebas (voted by the audience on the second heat)
The three finalists who will win a ticket to the final show will be chosen by both the jury and the audience’s televote.
The show, that will take place in San Cugat del Vallés (Barcelona), will be presented once again by Anne Igartiburu and Daniel Diges, the 2010 Spanish representative, who will be reporting from backstage.
You can watch the semi-final of Destino Eurovisión on Friday the 11th of February at 22:15 CET on TVE-1 or through the official webcast.
