Portuguese broadcaster, RTP, has announced the 24 acts who have a chance of participating in the 2011 Festival da Canção. They have been chosen after an internal jury selected them from all the submitted songs.

From these 24, only 12 will compete for the honour of representing Portugal in Dusseldorf. The Portuguese public will decide which are the 12 lucky songs via an internet vote. The 12 finalists will then compete in the 2011 Festival da Canção on 5th March.
Portugal has been drawn in the bottom half of the first semi-final.
