More success for Sara Markoska in FYR Macedonia

Former Junior Eurovision Song Contest participant, Sara Markoska, has achieved more success in FYR Macedonia. She reached the final of popular tv show M2 Proekt. The popular entertainment show includes Elena Risteska (FYR Macedonia 2006) as a judge.

Sara sang Za Ljubovta in the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.  She has since gone on to win the newcomers award at the Ohrid Festival and perform in festivals in Macedonia and abroad including Spain.

Sara’s popularity is increasing all the time in her homeland.  She gained 1st place from the audience voting and finished 2nd overall in the M2 Proekt competition.  Along the way to the final Sara sang some Eurovision songs including It’s My Time and sang Elena Risteska’s 2006 Eurovision song, Ninanajna, as duet with fellow finalist, Ljupka Najdanovska. She also performed the popular Katrina & The Waves hit, Walking On Sunshine as well as I’ve Had The Time Of My Life from Dirty Dancing with Filip Bozanovski.   Sara also performed a specially produced and composed song called Bez Sram by Darko Dimitrov with text by Aleksandar Ristovski and Princ Golemo in the final.

The competition also included previous FYR Macedonian Junior Eurovision finalists Mila Janevska (2009) and Kristina Kostovska (2007) and up and coming artists such as Ivana Simoska, who performed Satellite (Germany Eurovision 2010) and Christina Jakimoska and Valerija Nikolovska.

The winner of the competition was Filip Bozonovski.  I am sure it is likely we will here from Sara and Filip and all of the above competitors in future FYR Macedonia Eurovision finals.
