Kristina wins first Slovak semi-final

Kristina wins the first Slovak semi-final, setting the standard for the others to beat on 28 February.

After six quarter-finals, we now reached the first semi-final.  Twelve songs (top four finishers from the quarter-finals) were vying for six places in the final on 28 February. 

Our usual host, Martin ‘Pyco’ Rausch guided us through the proceedings, with Martin Kontúr in the Green Room. The lucky 12 (with their quarter-final positions in brackets) were:

Marián Bango – Ty tu ticho spíš (4th, 14.8%)

Mayo – Tón (2nd, 12.9%)Kristina – Horehronie (1st, 36.7%)

Petra Humeňanská – Rosa rosí (4th, 11.6%)

Róbert Mikla – Voda a oheň (3rd, 12.0%)

Pavol Remenár, Klára & Liquid Error – Figaro (2nd, 15.9%)

Renáta Čonková & Martina Polievková – Dúha (3rd, 13.6%)

Michaella – O nás (4th, 15.9%)

Richard Čanaky & FBI – Zlomené krídla (2nd, 18.5%)

Robo Opatovský – Niečo máš (1st, 15.9%)

Get Explode – Blue Sun (4th, 12.7%)

Miro Jaroš – Bez siedmeho neba (2nd, 16.3%)

After 100% text (SMS) voting in the quarters, a jury was introduced, whose votes would constitute 50% of the total mark.  Where there was a tie, the text voting took precedence.  The final results were:

2. Miro Jaroš – 22    (11+ 11)

3. Pavol Remenár, Klára & Liquid Error – 14    (7+ 7)

4. Mayo – 14   (5+9)

5. Robert Opatovský – 13   (3+10)

6. Marián Bango – 12   (8+4) 

7. Get Explode – 12   (6+6)

8. Renáta Čonková & Martina Polievková – 12   (4+8)

9. Robert Mikla – 11   (10+1)

10. Richard Čanaky & FBI – 11   (9+2)

11. Petra Hemuňanská – 6   (1+5)

12. Michaella – 5   (2+3)
