Former Russian Junior Eurovision acts now members of popular boy band “Geroi”

Two former acts that represented Russia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest are members of a new popular boy band, Geroi (Heroes).  The band are Vlad Krutskih who sang at the 2005 Junior contest and Mikhail Puntov from the 2008 Junior show and also Seva Tarasov and Andrew Raspopov.

Mikhail Puntov sang Spit Angel at the 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest and Vlad Krutskih performed Doroga k solntsu in 2005.  The boys are moving on in the music business and have joined with Seva Tarasov and Andrew Raspopov to make a big new boy band project, Geroi.

The guys are building a popular fan base in Russia and Belarus and also have fan clubs around the world including China and France.

Geroi are all very sensible and they just want to represent people of every day life. They want to make things simple and do not consider themselves as stars but keep learning and hope fans will enjoy their music and performances.

Geroi have just won a Young Artist Award award in the USA.  This really surprised them to win such a prestigious award.

Asked about this year’s Eurovision Song Contest the boys think Loreen for Sweden deserved to take first prize but their hearts were also with their own Babushki from Russia.

Their dream is to come to Great Britain and some of their fans are already comparing them with Justin Bieber, Backstreet Boys and even a young Beatles.

For more information about Geroi visit their official website (in Russian) and their You Tube site.
