The Malta Eurosong selection has been delayed due to a recent court injunction filed by the former Malta Eurosong Chairperson, Grace Borg.
The hold up is due to the argument over whether foreign composers can submit songs to the contest. When the 2010 rules were originally announced, it was only open to Maltese songwriters. This ruling has been questioned as it may be against European Union rules.
The Malta Eurosong is not in danger and PBS are awaiting legal advice how to proceed with the selection.
