Lithuanian representative at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Donny Montell released today a brand new song, FLY, from his existing album #BLCK released in March. The song is written by a Eurovision winning songwriter.
Donny Montell is still FLYing high from his top 10 placement at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. His entry I’ve Been Waiting For This Night finished in 9th place with 200 points, beating his 2012 entry Love Is Blind which finished in 14th with 70 points.
Today, the Lithuanian singer released a new single called FLY. The song is available from his previously released album #BLCK which was released on March 26, 2016.
FLY is a high energy pop tune written by Jonas Thander and Charlie Mason. Thander is behind a lot of Donny’s previous songs including I’ve Been Waiting For This Night as well as a string of hits from popstars such as Ariana Grande (Focus, Bang Bang), Demi Lovato (Confident) and Taylor Swift (Shake It Off). Mason is responsible for co-writing Rise Like A Phoenix by Conchita Wurst as well as Here For You by Maraaya and the English version of Beauty Never Lies by Bojana.
His new song is with a positive message with lyrics such as “Use the wings you never knew you had – Anyone tries to bring you down – You gotta fly – Leave ’em the way I do the ground! – You gotta fly“.
