Cyprus: National final for Eurovision 2018

After two years of internal selections Cyprus returns to the national finals process for the election of its representative in the Eurovision Song Contest for 2018. This was quoted at the Cypriot press conference in Kyiv by Evi Papamichael the head of delegation for Eurovision on Wednesday.

Mrs Evi Papamichael confirmed that after two years of internal selections for the composer and singer, the island of Aphrodite will choose their entry via a national final for next year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The last time CyBC held a national final was in 2015 (The Eurovision Song Project), the winner of which was Yiannis Karagiannis with One Thing I Should Have Done. With that statement Cyprus confirmed its participation for next year’s contest as well.
