Tom Dice: ‘Better than expected’

Tom Dice, the Belgian entrant of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, admitted to be exhausted after this fortnight of rehearsing, giving interviews and performing on stage. He is very pleased with his sixth place in the final. The fact he won the first semi-final easily, is an extra bonus for the 20-year-old Belgian.

Tom Dice got Europe on his hand in Oslo. The Belgian performed the ballad ‘Me and My Guitar’ in a pure and rather emotional way. Dice won his semi-final and ended sixth in the final, although he stood higher during the first half of the voting procedure. ‘I don’t care I lost some positions, I am just extremely happy with this sixth place. I always said my first goal was to make it to the final, then a top 10 position would have been nice. The level this year was very high, so a sixth spot is very good’, so said Dice.

The Belgian entrant was happy he could show his talent to Europe: ‘Before Europe had never heard of me, now they have met me. Hopefully some countries will be interested in releasing my album. I’ll definitely grab my chances if they occur.’
