Romania Loses One its First Eurovision Artists: Mălina Olinescu

Malina Olinescu, the artist who represented Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 1998, committed suicide last night. She was really unhappy in the last period of her life because of her sentimental life.

Malina Olinescu was born on the 29th of January 1974 in Bucharest and since then her life was full of success until last night when she committed suicide and jumped from the 6th floor of a building, ending her life and leaving her beloved ones in tears. According to cancan.ro, Malina threatened to kill herself several times in the past.

She represented Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 1998 with the song called "Eu Cred" (I Believe) and came 22nd. She also tried to represent Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 but she failed to qualify for the final. Malina was one of the most appreciated Romanian artists and all her work represents a great contribution for the Romanian music.
