Tonight, the last show in second round of Azerbaijan’s long term national selection, Milli Seçim Turu, was held via its official broadcaster İçtimai TV. A group of nine participants tried to get the semifinal ticket, which ended up being won by Rəvanə Əliyeva.
As in the first edition of Milli Seçim Turu 2013, a group of nine participants were participating in the second heat of Milli Seçim Turu: Şahin Sadıqov, Sebel Cəfərov, Group Baku, Rafael İsayev, Xəyal Tağıyev, Ena-Kameliya Moqəddəm, Anar Səfərov, Rəvanə Əliyeva and Leyla İzzətova. As usual our nine participants of the week showed their skills over five days with each night offering a different style:
- Monday: Eurovision Hits
- Tuesday: Azeri Music
- Wednesday: World Hits
- Thursday: Stage Performance
- Friday: Free Style (Participants may re-perform some of their previous songs in the selection)
Before the last show the televoting results from the previous four days here in heat 2 was looking like:
- Şahin Sadıqov: 225 votes
- Sebel Cəfərova: 92 votes
- Group Baku: 166 votes
- Rafael İsayev: 635 votes
- Xəyal Tağıyev: 13 votes
- Ena-Kameliya Moqəddəm: 659 votes
- Anar Səfərov: 29 votes
- Rəvanə Əliyeva: 613 votes
- Leyla İzzətova: 491 votes
At the last show, the televoting results of each day were added to the
poll, which is also combined with the jury results at the end. The final results is as follows:
2 points: Xəyal Tağıyev
3 points: Anar Səfərov
4 points: Şahin Sadıqov
5 points: Sebel Cəfərova
6 points: Group Baku
7 points: Rafael İsayev
8 points: Leyla İzzətova
10 points: Ena-Kameliya Moqəddəm
12 points: Rəvanə Əliyeva
The lucky name of the second week was Rəvanə Əliyeva who is secured his place in the semifinal.
With the results of the second heat, the Azeri Milli Seçum Turu’s semi-final heat now looks like:
1st heat: Vüqar Muradov
2nd heat: Rəvanə Əliyeva
The third heat will take on December, 31st at the usual time –
18.00 CET – and will be able to be watched via İçtimai TV, satellite on
Turksat & Hotbird and its website, itv.az.
Azerbaijan is one of the newest face at the Eurovision Song Contest
where they participated in 2008 for the very first time, have found
themselves a spot in the final each year up to now, also finishing at
top 10 each year. In 2011 they won the contest thus hosted last year’s
big event in their capital in Baku in May this year.
