After a long series of heats going back to October 2011 the competition, Misija Evrovizija, in Slovenia to decide the finalists for the EMA has concluded. To the final will go sisters, Nika & Eva Prusnik, and Eva Boto. It was the end of the road on this occasion for Nika Zorjan.
In the final show all the semi finalists performed three songs each. The first round they sang their favourite song they performed so far in the series. First up was Nika Zorjan and she sang Listen from Beyonce. Then the 16 year old sisters, Nika & Eva Prusnik, performed Samo Malo and Eva Boto sang Because Of You by Kelly Clarkson.
The next set of performances were Eurovision winning songs. Nika Zorjan began with Ne Partez Pas San Moi by Celine Dion (Switzerland 1988). Nika & Eva Prusnik sang Wild Dances by Ruslana (Ukraine 2004) and Eva Boto performed Running Scared by Ell & Nikki (Azerbaijan 2011).
The final round of songs were the acts own performance of the Misija Evrovizija theme, Čas Za Nas. In my opinion this song would have made a great Eurovision entry in it’s own right.
The interval acts included former Slovenian Eurovision acts Maja Keuc (2011) and Omar Naber (2005) and Nuša Derenda (2001).
The first finalists was decided by public vote alone and that was Eva Boto. The second finalists was decided by the judges and that was Nika & Eva Prusnik.
