It’s proving very difficult for most countries to make the stage look different for their performances this year but Belgium has managed just that. Tom’s song shines in the Telenor arena with a very simple, but effective, set design.
Tom stands alone on the catwalk on a very dark stage. He has his guitar, of course, The stage is pretty dark for the first slow section of the song. It’s gets brighter when the song speeds up.
Yellow lights are the order of the day. They twinkle in the background for most of the song. The camera shots are really good as well. There is one that moves from the back of the stage out towards the audience and Tom which works brilliantly.
Tom is note perfect and seems really comfortable on stage. There are few improvements needed to this one, maybe just a bit more backlighting.
