As the countdown approaches the start of the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest the OGAE fan club members around Europe is casting their votes. This unofficial voting so far shows Sweden’s Loreen to be the big fan favourite this year.
The official fan club of the Eurovision Song Contest, the OGAE
(Organisation Générale des Amateurs de l’Eurovision) has started its
annual voting with the members from 39 participating and
non-participating countries. OGAE club members in each
country are voting to predict the best entry for the 2012 Eurovision
Song Contest. As with the Eurovision Song Contest any OGAE club cannot give a single point
for their entry where they convert their member’s predictions to the
points from 1 to 8 and then 10 and 12 as in the contest.
The results come together in OGAE International’s poll and then the results are released by them. Firstly OGAE Bulgaria, OGAE Slovenia and OGAE Rest of the World announced their votes and they favourited Sweden, Spain and Iceland. Lately OGAE clubs in France, Portugal and Norway cast their votes.
OGAE France picked Sweden as their favourite and the rest of the results were:
12 points: Sweden
10 points: Cyprus
8 points: Norway
7 points: Italy
6 points: Iceland
5 points: Spain
4 points: Switzerland
3 points: Latvia
2 points: Estonia
1 point: Serbia
Then OGAE Portugal favourited Swedish Loreen and the rest of the results were:
12 points: Sweden
10 points: Spain
8 points: Serbia
7 points: Iceland
6 points: Italy
5 points: Cyprus
4 points: Germany
3 points: Estonia
2 points: France
1 point: Switzerland
At last, OGAE Norway preferred their neighbour, Sweden as well:
12 points: Sweden
10 points: Iceland
8 points: Serbia
7 points: Romania
6 points: Cyprus
5 points: Greece
4 points: The Netherlands
3 points: Russia
2 points: United Kingdom
1 point: Finland
After 6 out of 41 member club cast their voted, the scoreboard looks as:
