Norway ready for 2009 Melodi Grand Prix

When Norway kicks off its 2009 national selection in three weeks it includes a possible comeback to the Eurovision Song Contest stage after 41 years. 21 songs are ready to compete in three semi-finals for a place in the final that takes place on 21st of February.

The 2009 Norwegian selection, Melodi Grand Prix will be hosted by Norwegian commentator Per Sundnes and last year’s
Norwegian representative Maria Haukaas Storeng. They will guide the TV viewers through 21 acts all competing to get the ticket for Moscow where Maria’s fifth place from 2008 is on stake.
