Yesterday the theme of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest was presented: Feel your heart beat. The logo shows a pulsating heart consisting of different coloured rays of light. The logo and the motto will shape the visual branding of the Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf. It was created by the agency Turquoise in London.
The theme Feel your heart beat refers to the big emotions music can evoke. These feelings are also typical for the Eurovision Song Contest, such as enthusiasm, heart beating, excitement, love and passion. There are no limits or language barriers and every song has its own rhythm. Thomas Schreiber, entertainment chief of the national broadcaster ARD promises that the audience will feel this motto. He also says that the heart refers to a special moment in Oslo. During the voting Lena Meyer-Landrut was interviewed by the presenter Erik Solbakken and she formed a heart with her fingers to thank all countries who had voted for her. This sign was later repeated by some of the voting announcers.
