Giovanni Francesco, the organiser of the Romanian Music Awards 2009, contacted Alexander Rybak before the Eurovision final to talk about his invitation to sing at the awards, to be held in Craiova city.
If negotiations go as planned, this year’s Romanian music gala will have Alexander Rybak, the winner of Eurovision 2009, as a special guest. He will sing on the same stage as Liana McCarthy, who broke into the pop charts with Dance With Me. The organiser of the Romanian Music Awards said that the negotiations with Rybak are quite advanced, and it is 90% certain he will be present at the event on June 6.
Giovanni said that he laughed with one of his friends, who told him at
that time, "Speak with Rybak quickly, before he wins! "
