The Azerbaijani national selections were started last week and the second stage of the semi-final tour was held yesterday night. Nurlan Növresli qualified for the final which was also televised by Içtimai TV.
After Chingiz Mustafayev had qualified to the grand final of Azerbaijani National Selections 2011, another lucky name Nurlan Növresli succeeded to get a ticket in the battle for Düsseldorf with his song, Peri.
The show was televised live from the national broadcaster İçtimai TV yesterday, when all the contestants appeared with two acts. The first one singing previous Eurovision Song Contest’s classics, and another with their potential song to be chosen to represent The Land of Fire in Düsseldorf. The shows results were:
1. Nurlan Növresli – 12 points
2. Ülvi Baxisli – 10 points
3. East Groove" group – 8 points
4. Günay Elekberova – 7 points
5. Şöle Sefereliyeva – 6 points
6. Sitare Nesirova – 5 points
7. Fizze Nadirova – 4 points
8. Nezrin Zerbeliyeva – 3 points
9. Emin Hesen – 2 points
10. Ülviyye Talışınskaya – 1 point
