Günay İbrahimli Wins the 3rd Leg of Azerbaijani National Final

Yesterday night, Azerbaijani national broadcaster, İçtimai TV, held the 3rd leg of their national final on the way to Düsseldorf. Günay İbrahimli became third qualifier after Nurlan Növresli and Chingiz Mustafayev.

It was thought that one of Azerbaijan’s new talents, Nicola Barkley, would easily win the third leg, but another successful name, 19 years old female Günay İbrahimli, became the winner at the end of the night. Nicola Barkley came second behind Günay İbrahimli.

The third leg of Azerbaijani national final results were:

1.      Günay Ibrahimli – 12 points
2.      Nikola Barkley – 10 points
3.      Xeyyam Nisanov – 8 points
4.      Orxan Agayev – 7 points
5.      Kenan Qadimov – 6 points
6.      Sevinc Agasirinova – 5 points
7.      Rinat Alimov – 4 points
8.      Dilsen Ibadova – 3 points
9.      Nigar Babayeva – 2 points
10.    Ferid Mammadov- 1 point
11.    Nazir Agayev – 0 points

The winner of the third leg Günay İbrahimli, performed French Lara Fabian’s Je T’aime and former Romanian representative Elena’s, The Balkan Girls. You can also watch two of Günay’s performance below.

The fourth leg of the Azerbaijani national final will be run in Baku next Friday, 10th December.
