Vilija Matačiūnaitė is a singer, actress and songwriter. Her professional career began in 2004 when she participated in the singing competition Amber Star in Latvia. A year later, she achieved wide recognition after her participation in the talent show The Way To The Stars. In 2006 she started working as a radio host at a national radio station and she also released her debut album, Mylėk, with which she was in the top 10 of most radio played singers. As an actress, she played a lead role in the Christian rock opera Resurrected and she also featured in a Lithuanian tv drama called My Beloved Enemy.
Besides participating in several TV talent shows, she has also competed at some singing competitions in her home country as well as in Moldova, Ukraine and the United Kingdom and, among her recent achievements, she won Lithuania’s established singer’s competition Golden Voice in 2013 and she hosted the TV show Romeo and Juliet.
