Molly Smitten-Downes is a new star to many of us but she has been working hard and releasing music for several years. Molly is from the English county of Leicestershire. After studying music at college she pursued a career in the music business.
Molly has had a big hit in the United Kingdom as a guest vocalist for DJ Sash on the club dance song, Raindrops, in 2008. She was known as Stunt at that time for the project.
Molly’s rise in music continued as she won the Best Urban/Pop act at the Live and Unsigned contest in the United Kingdom in 2012. Then Molly won with the best song, Lost Generation, at the Best Of British Unsigned Music Awards in 2013.
In 2014 Molly was a part of the BBC project for unsigned musical acts called BBC Introducing. This is where Molly was discovered and asked to participate at the Eurovision Song Contest for the United Kingdom.
