Bonnie Tyler has had a long and successful career going back to 1976 when she had her first top ten hit in the United Kingdom with Lost In France. Not long after her first major hit she had undergo surgery to remove nodules from her vocal chords. This made her voice more husky and that time she was considered in some sources as a ‘female’ Rod Stewart sound. She then had a massive hit with It’s A Heartache.
The early 80s gave Bonnie major success as a recording and touring artist. 1983 was the year of her biggest hit to date with Total Eclipse Of The Heart which achieved number one not just in the UK but all over the world. It was composed by Jim Steinman who had previously worked with Meat Loaf.
Bonnie’s last major UK hit was Holding Out For A Hero in 1984. This was used as part of the soundtrack for the popular movie, Footloose.
She has continued to have hits in Germany and France, Asia, United States and Eastern Europe where she remains a very popular singer and touring artist.
Believe In Me is taken from Bonnie’s brand new album called Rocks and Honey which has already been released with some acclaim.
