Emma Marrone always knew she wanted to make music and succeed in the music business. At an early age, she started singing in small clubs as the lead singer of several bands, but her professional career started in 2010 when she participated at the most popular Italian talent show called Amici. She was the winner of that edition and that led her to record her debut album entitled Oltre which immediately reached the top position in the charts. That summer, while touring Italy, she started working on her upcoming studio album, A Me Piace Così, which was released in October 2010.
In 2011 she participated at the Sanremo Festival alongisde the band Modà performing the song Arriverà which became a big hit being certified as multiplatinum for the digital sales. In late 2011 she released a new album called Sarò Libera and in 2012 she came back as a solo singer to the Sanremo Festival and won it with the song Non è l’inferno.
Schiena is the name of her latest album which was released in 2013 and which was followed by a re-release under the title Schiena vs Schiena. It contained a cd with the original version of the album with a brand new track, La Mia Città, and one more cd with all the tracks re-arranged in an acoustic version.
