At age 16 she started working as a singer/songwriter at the Valicon studios in Berlin where she met accordeon player Yvonne. Later the two girls met contrabassist Natalie Plöger at a snaps tasting. At the beginning of 2013 the three ladies founded the band Elaiza. At the Women of the World festival in Frankfurt they won the Best Newcomer Award. They applied for a participation at the wild card round for Unser Song für Dänemark. Surprisingly they won the wild card for Cologne and later defeated popular German acts like Unheilig or Santiano.
