ByeAlex, otherwise known as Alex Márta, was born on the 6th of June, 1984 in the Eastern Hungarian town of Kisvárda. He attended high school in Fényeslitke, where he began to dabble in music, composing songs. He performed with the band Love Story Bar, but they didn’t go on to any major success on Hungary. He continued with his education, obtaining a degree in philosophy from the university of Miskolc. He currently works as a journalist for Tattoo magazine.
It wasn’t until after finishing his degree that ByeAlex began to experience success with his music. During the course of last year, he released three singles, Csókolom!, Láttamoztam and Messziről with the former gaining considerable radio airplay. From there on, there was no looking back. His journey to Eurovision is a strange story of coincidence, as he had certainly not planned on entering, thinking he lacked experience to make any impact. His management thought otherwise however, and the rest, as they say, is history.
