Eldrine is the name of the rock band chosen to represent Georgia in Düsseldorf. The band consists of 6 members, Sophio Toroshelidze being the lead singer. Sophio was born in Tbilisi in 1990, and has studied at the Music College for Remarkable Students at the State Conservatory of Tbilisi. Her composition Surprised Again was chosen best song of the year in 2006. In 2009 Sophio was seen on Georgian TV screens as a participant in the talent show Star’s Academy. Later that same year she acted as vocal coach
to participants in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Some of you may recognize her as one of the backing singers who accompanied Sofia Nizharadze to Oslo last year.
The other members to make up Eldrine are Mikheil Chelidze (Miken) on guitar, Irakli Bibilashvili (Bibo) on bass guitar, David Changoshvili (Chango) on drums, Beso Tsikhelashvili (DJ Be$$) and Tamar Shekiladze on keyboards. 4 of the members were previously in an outfit called BIOS formed in 2007, with Eldrine being formed in 2010.
