The three band members Jan Dulles, Jaap Kwakman and Jaap de Witte have known each other since 1996, performed together as 3JS since 2002, but it wasn’t until 2007, when they released their first album, they became known across the country.
Their first two albums Watermensen and Kamers van m’n hart both sold gold in the Netherlands. The third album from spring 2010, Dromers en dwazen, didn’t manage that, altough the single Wat Is Dromen together with Ellen Ten Damme did give their first number one placement on the charts. That was repeted here in 2011 where both the Dutch and the English version of their Eurovision Song Contest entry went to the top of the single chart.
