Filipa Azevedo was born near the Portuguese city of Porto on 31 July 1991. After learning to play the flute, she started to concentrate on singing.
In 2007 she participated to the Portuguese show Familia Superstar, eventually winning. During the course of this show, media mogul Tozé Brito (writer of Penso em ti, eu sei for Adelaide in 1985) likened her voice to that of Beyoncé.
In 2009 she released her first eponymously-titled album, which sadly didn’t do quite as well as expected. Her voice shone through, although the promotion appeared to be lacking.
She is currently living and studying music technology and musical production in London.
