2009: Lidia Kopania - i Don't Wanna Leave

Lidia Kopania was born in Koluszki, Poland on the 12th of May, 1978. The talented singer is blessed with an impressive voice, spanning no fewer than four octaves. She first began her career in 2003, as part of the band Kind of Blue, whose first album release was Beating The Morning Rush in 2004. She still performs with the band today, but they now are merely a duo, consisting of herself and Bernd Klimpel.

Her first solo effort came in 2006, entitled Intuicja (Intuition), featuring a track called It Must be Love, which Lidia unsuccesfully attempted to represent Poland with at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007. The versatile artist also took part in and won the TOPtrendy Festival in 2006 with the song Sleep. She followed up her debut with the album Przed świtem (Before Dawn). During her career Lidia has also released 7 singles: Niezwykły dar (An Unusual Gift) 1998, Sleep and Hold On in 2006, Twe milczenie nie jest złotem (You’re Silence is not Golden) in 2007, Tamta Łza (That Tear) and Rozmawiać z tobą chce (I Want To Talk To You) in 2008 and I Don’t Wanna Leave in 2009.

Lidia writes many of the texts to Kind of Blue, although her last album featured tracks written by the duo Rob Hoffman and Heather Holly, who have also previously worked with the likes of Christina Aguilera, Phil Collins, Sheryl Crow and Michael Jackson.
